Austin, Texas — September 13, 2025
Circuit of the Americas wasn't always supposed to be the place where the numbers finally added up, but after Mid-Ohio last month, the message became crystal clear: the title was Kyle Wyman’s to lose. The Harley factory racer arrived in Austin with a lead so large the rest of the grid was chasing shadows, and all he needed was three points to secure the crown.
By the time the checkered flag fell, the math was complete and the story was written: Kyle Wyman is once again the King of the Baggers, delivering Harley-Davidson Factory Racing another season of dominance on the Road Glide® that has carried him to the top of the class.
The win feels less like a surprise and more like the culmination of a season where everything clicked.
Rider and machine were in lockstep from the very first round. Where rivals fought for scraps, Wyman built momentum. Where others struggled for consistency, he collected podiums with clockwork precision.
Eleven races in, his results tell their own story: seven victories, two thirds, a second-place finish, and today’s fourth-place finish. The only time he stepped off the box all season was today, and even so, it was enough to give him the clinch.
A SEASON THAT TOOK SHAPE EARLY
Daytona set the tone.
Wyman has always been at home on the high banks, and in 2025 he turned the place into a personal playground. He started the year by taking pole, then notched his fourth straight Daytona KOTB win with a composed ride that showed he had pace in hand.
In Race 2 he found himself locked into a brawl with Troy Herfoss, trading lines and leaning on every bit of his Road Glide’s performance pedigree. The gap at the stripe was just fifty-six thousandths of a second, but it was enough to hand Wyman his fifth consecutive Daytona victory.
Two races in, and the rest of the paddock knew what kind of year they were up against.
Road Atlanta brought the first taste of adversity. Wyman flinched at the start, fumbling the launch and slipping to the back. A pair of red flags reset the grid, and when the lights went out for the third and final time, he made it count.
He ripped the holeshot, managed the pace, and added another win to his tally.
In the second race, Loris Baz muscled past on the final lap to steal a win, but even that didn’t cut into Wyman’s control of the standings.
At Road America, the home track for Harley-Davidson, Wyman gave the Milwaukee faithful a victory with Willie G. Davidson himself watching from the pits. He followed it up with a third-place finish the next day, his lowest of the season. But even then, the points kept stacking in his favor.
By the time the paddock reached Laguna Seca, Wyman was in full stride. Hayden Gillim led early in Race 1 before mechanical issues opened the door, and Wyman seized it without hesitation.
In Race 2, Gillim’s transmission failed on the final lap, handing Wyman his sixth win of the year. That double pushed his lead out to 76 points and left little doubt about where the season was headed.
Mid-Ohio did little to change the narrative. Third in Race 1, and then second in Race 2 until a disqualification for Herfoss elevated him to another victory.
With every round, the pressure shifted further onto his competitors, and Wyman looked more relaxed and more certain of the outcome.
THE ROAD GLIDE FACTOR
Behind every title run is a bike capable of delivering, and the Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® has been exactly that. Built by the Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Factory Racing team, the machine has become a weapon in Wyman’s hands.
The Milwaukee-Eight® 131 Performance Crate motor produced the kind of torque that let him launch out of corners and dictate pace down the straights, while the suspension and chassis setup allowed him to brake late and carve with precision.
Round after round, as rivals were forced to the sidelines, Wyman’s Road Glide held steady. It gave him the confidence to ride hard when he needed to, conserve when the situation called for it, and manage races in a way that only champions can.
The results sheet may show a string of podiums, but the machine beneath him was every bit as responsible for that consistency as his own racecraft.
THE HUMAN SIDE OF A CHAMPION
There’s also a personal layer to this season that makes the championship resonate more deeply. Away from the track, Wyman became a father for the first time.
He and his wife, Hannah Wyman, welcomed their son Stiles into the world earlier this year. Balancing family life with the demands of professional racing is no small feat, yet those who know him say fatherhood brought an extra level of focus.
In a sport where pressure and chaos can derail even the most talented riders, Wyman seemed more grounded than ever.
COTA: THE TITLE CONFIRMED
Austin was less about suspense and more about finishing what had already been started.
Wyman’s lead sat at 97 points with only 100 remaining in play. He needed to finish inside the top twelve to put the championship out of reach.
But even with the title essentially guaranteed, Wyman didn’t back off. He lined up, rode clean, and crossed the line with the points he needed.
Just like that, the crown was his.
There was no explosion of drama, no last-lap gamble. It was the steady closing of a book that had been writing itself since Daytona. In many ways, that’s fitting.
This wasn’t a championship built on a single highlight or one spectacular weekend. It was built on relentless consistency, week in and week out, from a rider and a factory program that have raised the bar for what King of the Baggers racing can look like.
LOOKING AHEAD
The season still has rounds to run, with New Jersey closing the year, but the hard work is done. Wyman can ride free, celebrate with his team, and take in the satisfaction of a season executed almost to perfection.
For Harley-Davidson, the message is clear: the Road Glide is the bike to beat, and Kyle Wyman is the rider setting the standard.
The challenge for the rest of the grid is how to respond. The challengers will regroup and come back hungry in 2026. Teams will spend the off-season looking for ways to close the gap. But for now, there is only one name at the top.
